Frequently Asked Questions - Stainless Steel - HydroTher

Frequently Asked Questions

About our Commercial Stainless Steel Hot Tubs

Is stainless steel better for rooftop installations?

Yes, one of the biggest advantages of a HydroTher stainless steel tub is its weight-to-strength ratio. They are much lighter than concrete or stone-filled tubs, which often eliminates the need for expensive structural reinforcements on balconies and rooftops.

Will the chlorine corrode the metal over time?

We use 316L Marine-Grade Stainless Steel, which is specifically engineered for high-corrosion
environments. When the water chemistry is balanced correctly—particularly pH and chloride
levels—your tub will remain pristine and rust-free for decades

Can I customize the seating and jet layout?

Absolutely. Unlike molded acrylic tubs that come from a fixed template, our stainless steel units
offer a high degree of design flexibility. We can work with your architects to customize the
dimensions, seating depth, and jet placement to fit your specific wellness goals.

Does a stainless steel hot tub require external bracing?

No. One of the primary advantages of a HydroTher stainless steel unit is that it is fully self-
supporting. Our units are engineered with an integrated stainless steel "I-beam" or tube-frame
chassis.
